- International Women's Day - International Women's Day (IWD) is celebrated every March 8th, as an opportunity to celebrate progress towards equality for women and to profile the achievements and contributions of women in society. The Status of Women Office (SWO) offers grant funding to assist women's groups and community-based organizations to collaborate and plan an IWD community event.

- Women's History Month - October is Women's History Month, a time when we have an opportunity to recognize and honour women for how they have shaped our history, and the economic, social, political and cultural fabric of our country. This year's theme, "Women in the Canadian Military Forces: A Proud Legacy," celebrates women's contributions, now and throughout history, to the Canadian military forces.
- National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women -The National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women is December 6th and falls in the middle of the worldwide "16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence", which runs from November 25, International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, to December 10, International Human Rights Day.
